Getting Started Tutorials Manual MIDI and Audio
Space equal to the duration value can be deleted at the cursor position in the current track by pressing SHIFT+TAB. Note that deleting will only occur if there is empty space equal to or greater than the duration value between the cursor position and the next event in the track.
In the Song Editor, empty space can be deleted in one or more tracks. Do this by selecting a group of tracks and a number of bars. This is done by dragging the mouse over the tracks and bars. From the Edit menu that appears select Cut.
When you choose Cut you bring up the Arrange dialog.
The bars you have selected will be shown in the From and To times. If you want to adjust the starting and ending times for your range, you can do that here. The From and To times do not have to be on bar boundaries.
If you check the Delete Hole box, the empty space created when you cut out your selected data will be eliminated. This means all the data after the selection will move back in time to fill the hole.
